A wealthy riding in the middle of old Toronto, St. Paul’s is bordered by the CP Rail line to the south, Eglinton Avenue to the north, Bayview Avenue to the east and Dufferin to the west.

History

Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Employment, Eric Hoskins easily won his first general election  in 2011, defeating the PC candidate by more than 16000 votes. He replaced former Attorney-General Michael Bryant in a 2009 by-election, who had held the seat since 1999.

By the numbers

English is the first language of 67.5% in this riding, the largest number in the GTA. The median income of $34.617 is the highest number of any of the 22 Toronto ridings.
