Monday May 12th on The Morning News

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder has been in the news a lot recently, especially in relation with members of the Canadian Forces. But it’s a disorder that affects workers within other industries as well. At 6:45 we’ll talk with two members of “Heroes are Human” campaign that is making a stop in Halifax on Monday to talk about what services are in place to support people who maybe overcoming a traumatic experience.

It’s being billed as the Maritime’s first ever female written, produced, and directed Rock Opera! At 7:15 we’ll meet music veteran Katey Day to talk about her labour of love, Deception: A Rock Opera. It’s an event 10 years in the making and it’s touring the Maritime’s in May!

The Morning News will be going to the Zoo at 7:45 with a visit from conservation group “Earth Rangers”. The national organization brings wild animals into the classroom to educate students about the importance of preserving their natural environment. Paul and Crystal will talk more about their work and meet a falcon, hawk and lizard in person. You won’t want to miss this!!!

Normally we go “Off The Leash” with our 8:15 guest but on Monday we are going Off The Hook with Jeremy Webb as he stops by to talk about his play entitled “Fishing”- A comedy about the perils of online dating. According to The Coast, “You’ll fall for this play hook, line, and sinker.”
