REGINA – The Regina police say a car that was pulled out of Wascana Lake was empty.
Police divers searched the vehicle and the area where it was submerged, and say they’re satifisfied the car was empty when it went into the water.
Investigators will now contact the vehicle’s registered owner to determine how and why the vehicle ended up in the lake.
An empty vehicle was also found submerged in Nut Lake a few days ago. Police believe that vehicle was driven out onto the lake when it was covered in ice and then abandoned.
