Watch: Emergency crews and provincial police at the scene of motorcycle crash
MONTREAL – A man has suffered minor injuries after crashing his motorbike into a wall while being pursued by police in Montreal.
According to the Sûreté du Québec, the motorbike chase began late Wednesday morning in Vaudreuil, where local police were pursuing the man on his motorbike for alleged dangerous driving.
After losing sight of the motorcyclist, officers put out a call.
When the driver was spotted on Highway 520, just west of the Dorval Circle, Quebec provincial police officers began a second pursuit.
SQ spokesperson Ronald McInnis said it was shortly after the chase began that the driver crashed.
“Almost as soon as the chase started, he crashed into a wall.”
Emergency services were called to the scene and the motorcyclist was transported to hospital, suffering from “minor injuries.”
