Puppies, zebra mussels and gymnasts were features on the Morning News for April 24.

Kevin was smitten by the puppies brought in by Saskatoon SPCA for Adopt a Pet

Um, adorable?!

The Saskatoon SPCA’s Doberman-cross pups came as a duo, but there are six more where that came from back at the shelter!

They’re not quite ready to be plucked up yet, but when they are, I’m betting they won’t last long.

The SPCA’s 8th annual Spring Gala is coming up on May 3, and it’s not too late to buy tickets! You’ll get to hear Chris Getzlaf speak (and maybe sign a thing or two of yours), and I’ll be there, too!

Melissa met some of the competitors in the upcoming Western Canadian Gymnastics Championships

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

These young athletes dedicate so much of their time to perfect their craft and I hope it all pays off this weekend at the Westerns Championship.

Brianna, who has been to Westerns eight times in the past mentioned training anywhere from five- to six-days-a-week.

If you’re looking to cheer on team Saskatchewan the first round of competitions takes place April 24 at 5 p.m. followed by more competitions April 25-26.
