STRASBOURG, Sask. – Several residents of a Saskatchewan care home were briefly relocated after a water heater caught fire on Friday morning.
At 10:50 a.m., emergency services were called to the mechanical room at the Last Mountain Pioneer Home in Strasbourg.
Fire crews arrived on scene and quickly extinguished the blaze.
Natural gas services were temporarily shut down until the area was deemed safe by firefighters and SaskEnergy.
Damage to the building appears minimal.
No injuries were reported.
The fire commission’s office has taken over the investigation.
