VANCOUVER – It was a close call for the pilot of an ultralight aircraft in Surrey Friday afternoon.
He was trying to land the plane when he realized he wasn’t going to make it to the runway.

The engine actually stopped when the plane was still 250 feet above the ground.
He was able to glide the plane down into a blueberry field at Colebrook Road and King George Boulevard and walked away with no injuries.
