TORONTO — Canadian actress Jessica Paré strips down and opens up in the latest issue of Esquire.
The 33-year-old Mad Men star, who appears in a series of sexy photos in the magazine, recalled struggling to find work in Hollywood after moving from Montreal in 2004.
“I was ready to move back to my parents’ place, ready to get a job at my friend’s bar back home and just pack it in,” she said.
While waiting for a green card, Paré returned to Canada for roles in the Toronto-shot movie Suck and the made-in-Montreal film The Trotsky.
Paré said she went to the Mad Men audition feeling like she had nothing left to lose.
“I went into the audition thinking, ‘This is it. If you don’t like it, that’s fine. Nobody else has.”
The actress has played Megan on the series since 2010. She also became an online sensation when she sang “Zou Bisou Bisou” in an episode.
In Esquire, Paré is seen spreading peanut butter on bread while wearing only underwear, posing in a swimsuit and frolicking naked in a swimming pool.
