WINNIPEG – Snowplow crews will hit city streets starting at 7 a.m. Wednesday in what most hope will be the last operation of the winter.
There will be no residential parking ban but those who move their vehicles will be rewarded with snow-free streets, the city said.
Winnipeggers can check their snow zones at knowyourzone.winnipeg.ca or by calling 311. The plowing schedule is below.
The focus of the plow will be to clear catch basins to allow water to drain off the road during the spring melt, the city said.
The residential plow and drainage-clearing operation will follow this schedule:
- Wednesday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.: snow zones E, I, M, O, S, U
- 7 p.m. Wednesday-7 a.m. Thursday: snow zones D, G, J, L, N, R, V
- Thursday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.: snow zones C, F, H, K, P, Q, T
- 7 p.m. Thursday-7 a.m. Friday: snow zone B
