10×10 art, Adopt a Pet and the Taboo Show were featured on the Morning News for Thursday, March 13.
Kevin likes the concept behind the 10×10 art community
The ICM 10×10 art project aims to bring communities together through a 10”x10” canvas medium. I love the concept and I love what I saw.
How do you view your community? How would you put it to a portrait?
Hop by Amigo’s at any point through April to get a solid look at what 60 artists have to ‘say’ about their communities. You just might learn something.
Jessica welcomes back Lindsay for Adopt a Pet
It was so nice to have Lindsay Royale back in the studio for our Adopt a Pet segment!
She and Tricia brought in little budgies named Noah and Allie, who are to be adopted together.
They explained how they’re great starter pets, and the third most popular pet in the world behind cats and dogs. Interesting.
Melissa learns more about the Naughty but Nice Taboo Show
To be honest when I first had the thought to cover to the Taboo Naughty But Nice Show I was afraid the content may be taboo for morning television. But after doing my research and speaking with the organizers of the show I realized there’s a lot more to it than what was my first impression.
The travelling event is actually about stepping out of your comfort zone. For instance today I was able to step out of my comfort zone by holding a snake. It’s also about exploring and accepting different lifestyles.
As we saw on the show, pole dancing didn’t play into its negative cognition. Today we learned that there’s more to it than what pop culture has made pole dancing known as. It’s about skill, dancing, strength, flexibility and expression.
I am glad I had a chance to experience everything I did today and I hope our viewers also learned that it’s ok to try new things (even if pop culture seems to shun it away) and step out of your comfort zone.
