If you’re heading out on the highway in the Southern Interior, be sure to check your route to make sure it is open.
DriveBC is reporting multiple closures Wednesday due to dangerous conditions and avalanche control.
Here are the routes affected:
Highway 1: Closed both directions east of Revelstoke for avalanche control between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. and also closed in Glacier National Park during that same time period. No detour is available.
Highway 3: Closed both directions around the Kootenay Pass Summit for snow removal. It’s estimated to re-open between 6 p.m.- 9 p.m.
