Bruinooge keeps seat in Winnipeg South

The beer is flowing in Rod Bruinooge’s office as the Tory incumbent heard word that he will be holding onto his seat in the Winnipeg South riding.

Supporters joined Bruinooge as they celebrate the defeat of his Liberal opponent Terry Duguid with 51.63 per cent of the vote. Duguid captured just 32.23 per cent, and NDP candidate Dave Gaudreau took 14.64 per cent of the riding. The Green party, represented by Caitlin McIntyre, took just 2.3 per cent of the vote.
