Edmonton – Two men are in hospital after a violent home invasion involving a machete in central Edmonton.

Police say a group of four or five men entered a home near 94 Street and 119 Avenue, where the two victims were slashed several times with a machete.

The victims were taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. One of the men is in his 50s. The age of the other victim hasn’t been released.

The suspects have not been found.

Police say the attack could be gang related.
