HALIFAX – A 23-year-old woman suffered undetermined injuries after slamming her vehicle into an apartment building in Clayton Park.

The collision happened at 9:55 p.m. Wednesday at the Carrington Place building on Parkland Drive. As the woman approached the T-intersection at Langbrae Drive, her vehicle failed to come to a stop. She went across the intersection, over the curb, through a fence and up a hill before hitting the building, four feet above ground.

No one was injured inside the building, but there is structural damage. Three units on the ground floor were evacuated to ensure resident safety.

Police are still investigating but said speed and alcohol likely factored into the collision.
