Upon hearing the news of her murder, over 100 people offered their condolences on the Facebook page dedicated to finding her.T

A close friend, and the page’s administrator, said he received the harrowing call Thursday morning from Boisvert’s uncle in Edmonton.

“It’s so sad to lose someone like that, you know?” said John Deschambault.

“I was blessed to know her and to be a friend of hers.”

In the eight years he has know her, he said Boisvert never spoke about her suspected abductor.

“We need to find the people that did this,” he said.

“They need to be brought to justice because the whole situation is barbaric and it’s just unbelievable.”

He’ll remember her as a loving friend with an infectious laugh.

“Enjoying life, you know. That’s what she did,” said Deschambault.

“I know that she’s in a better place, you know? She’s an angel for all of us now.”
