Surrey RCMP have identified a suspect in Tuesday night’s convenience store shooting.

They are looking for 30-year-old Harpal Dhaliwal from Langley.

He is wanted on outstanding warrants for Criminal Negligence Causing Bodily Harm, Carrying Concealed Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Careless Use of Firearm, Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition in connection to to the shooting.

On January 7, a man was shot inside a Mac’s Store near 152 Street and 100 Avenue in Guildford.

Mounties say two men arrived in the same vehicle before having some sort of confrontation inside the store. One man was shot and the other fled on foot.

The victim is expected to be okay.

The suspect is described as a South Asian male, 6’0”, 160 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and a beard. He has tattoos of a spider web on his right elbow and flames on his upper left arm.

Police are warning members of the public to not attempt to contact, approach, or apprehend this individual on your own.
