Born, raised and educated in Montreal, Richard worked as editor-in-chief of a community newspaper after graduating from McGill University.
He then worked in Montreal radio for several years as a news announcer, reporter, interviewer, editorialist, host and producer.
In the Opinion/Commentary category, he was twice nominated for ACTRA National Radio Awards.
He worked part-time in television for a few years as a reporter and show host.
He joined Global Television in 2002 and worked as feature reporter on the former morning show, “This Morning Live.”
For just over a year, he anchored “News Final,” Global Montreal’s 11 p.m. newscast, and hosted its interview show, “Focus Montreal.”
He currently hosts “Global Montreal Morning News.”
Richard does a variety of voice work, narration, acting, translation, script writing, copy writing and content development.
Married with one son, Richard sings the national anthems at sporting events.
Along with his singing and song writing, he is a drummer, percussionist and guitarist.
Among his favourite sports are hockey, tennis, softball, touch football, cycling, ping-pong and swimming.
Among his least favourite sports are working out at the gym!
He also writes children’s stories and blogs.
