The Parti Québécois says that if it wins this fall's provincial election, it will put the brakes on Canada's proposed high-speed rail project linking Quebec City and Toronto. The party argues the multi-billion dollar investment would be better directed toward other priorities. The stance, however, has prompted questions and criticism from the premier and others.
