On Friday, Gudie Hutchings, Minister of Rural Economic Development announced the federal government will provide nine million dollars in financial support for communities affected by Hurricane Fiona in Nova Scotia. The recovery fund will prepare existing community infrastructures and buildings with the necessary equipment for future extreme weather events.
