A local athlete is making an impact both on and off the basketball court. Danielle Peers will be inducted into the Canada Sports Hall of Fame in October. They are being recognized for breaking barriers as both a non-binary and para-athlete. Peers joined Global News at Noon Edmonton to talk about how they’re turning their athletic achievements into positive change for minority groups.
