A U of A graduate some 35 years ago, Michel Sadelain has just been awarded the 2024 Breakthrough Prize in life sciences, recognising his discovery of cancer-fighting immunotherapy based on the genetic engineering of a patient’s own T cells. He joined Sarah Reid to talk about his work.
