As tens of thousands of people standby waiting to hear when they’ll be able to return home in the Northwest Territories, officials in the territory are preparing for what’s being called an “extreme wind event” this weekend. As Jayme Doll reports, gusts of more than 60km an hour are expected in some areas, raising fears the wildfire situation near communities like Hay River and Fort Smith could worsen.
