BC wildfires: Trudeau says first responders need to be allowed to do their job in Shuswap

During a visit to fire-ravaged British Columbia on Friday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said first responders need to be allowed to do their job when asked about some residents in Shuswap saying they’ve felt abandoned. “People are really scared and there’s lots of reasons to be scared. We need to make sure that we’re allowing the first responders to do the jobs they have of keeping the rest of us safe,” Trudeau said.
