Seven injured after attraction suddenly collapses at Germany’s largest theme park

An attraction at Germany’s largest theme park collapsed on Aug. 14, injuring five “high-diving acrobat” performers and two guests. A spokesperson for Europa Park said “It was probably a material defect” that caused ‘The Return of the Pirates’ attraction to come crashing down in front of stunned onlookers. According to local reports, police are investigating the accident.
