Barry Payne is the new ‘Expert in Residence’ with the Innovation Cluster, helping develop Indigenous-owned businesses. He is Hiawatha First Nation, an entrepreneur many times over, a business development mentor and an advisor on hiring Indigenous personnel. Payne's decades in business and his current work in procurement assessment with the government of Canada allows him to bring insight and inspiration to the start-up table for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous entrepreneurs.
