A man trapped in his car as a result of strong gushing floodwaters in China was rescued by firefighters while other people were evacuated from their homes in the capital on Monday, as torrential rains followed Typhoon Doksuri, according to state television CCTV. In Beijing’s southwestern suburb, cars were swept away after falling into a river when the bridge they were travelling on broke in half.
