Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) board chair Ward Keith said on Tuesday that Manitoba will be "in line" with other public insurance jurisdictions in Canada as of Aug. 1 when new regulations take effect. Keith said these new updates will be tougher on impaired drivers, giving MPI the control to refuse licensing even to those who knowingly lend their car to impaired drivers.
