‘Gimli Glider’ emergency landing incident remembered 40 years later

On July 23, 1983, Air Canada Flight 143 made an emergency landing at a decommissioned air base near Gimli, Manitoba. The pilot of the Boeing 767 and witnesses who saw the plane hit the runway that day reflected on its rough landing on Sunday. Global Winnipeg’s Katherine Dornian has more.
