Ontario Premier Doug Ford said Natural Resources Minister Jonathon Wilkinson committed in writing to $40 million in support for the Ring of Fire development on Wednesday during Canada’s Premiers meeting in Winnipeg. Ford said “we need to move forward with developing the Ring of Fire because the world is watching.” He added that he looks forward discussing profit-sharing agreements with First Nations communities in the area.
