During the NATO Summit on Tuesday, Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said allies have approved the creation of a NATO defence force of approximately 300,000 troops which would be at “high readiness” and would include air and naval power. The force would be ready to take on threats such as Russia and terrorism. It would be the “most comprehensive defence plan since the cold war.”
