After losing her Lviv home in a deadly Russian missile strike that killed 10 on Thursday, a local mother recounted her family’s narrow escape from the destruction. “We knew that death was chasing us,” Mirka Klos said, recalling the sounds of an air raid siren as their building “reverberated” from the shelling. Her husband Klos and their five children rushed to the nearest shelter following the attack.
