Winnipeg Police Service deputy chief Scot Halley reflected on the evolution of the culture of mental health support inherent in policing on Tuesday. Halley said when he started his policing career 29 years ago, traumatic incidents were unpacked as far as "suck it up, let's handle the next call." He added that the trauma support programming will help improve the health and resiliency of those within the Winnipeg police.
