BC port strike: Workers’ union hoped to have ‘better announcement,’ yet to come to agreement

International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) Canada president Rob Ashton announced that an agreement has not yet been made with the B.C. Maritime Employers Association (BCMEA) on Sunday, amid an ongoing strike by B.C. port workers. Ashton maintained that the ILWU will continue to bargain with BCMEA until a deal is agreed upon and made.
