During question period in the House of Commons on Wednesday, Parliamentary members, including prime minister Justin Trudeau, observed a moment of silence to commemorate not only National Indigenous Peoples Day, but the harrowing discovery of 215 buried bodies underneath a former Indigenous residential school in B.C. in May 2021.
