Carl Hartsfield, the director at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, provided an update on the search for a missing submersible in the northern Atlantic Ocean in the vicinity of the Titanic shipwreck on Wednesday. “The noises have been described as banging noises,” Hartsfield said adding that it’s “analysis over time” that will allow them to figure out what the noise actually is.
