U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland took the podium on Friday to announce the four findings of the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) investigation into the Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) practices related to the 2020 killing of George Floyd while he was in custody. The findings included patterns of police use of excessive force and multiple violations of rights.
