During question period Monday, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh called on the Liberal government to ensure a deal with Stellantis to build an electric battery plant in Windsor, Ont., goes ahead after reports that negotiations “weren’t going well.” In response, Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland said the government would ensure Stellantis “comes forward with a reasonable offer.”
