Industry Minister François-Philippe Champagne said on Friday that “progress” was being made with Stellantis on its EV battery plant in Windsor, Ont., after Premier Doug Ford announced the province had offered more money to the automaker in a bid to keep the construction moving. It comes after the company said earlier this week that the federal government had “not delivered what was agreed to,” and had put a pause on construction of the plant.
