There is a small glimmer of hope that Carifiesta might be saved this year after all. Earlier this week it was revealed that the City of Montreal refused to support the event as it was proposed by one organization. Mobilization efforts ensued in the city’s Caribbean community, giving some hope for the future of the parade. Global’s Phil Carpenter reports.
