Morris Rosenberg, the former CEO of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau foundation, said Tuesday to the Privacy and Ethics Committee that he would like to see an independent investigation into a Beijing-linked donation to the foundation. “We had no malevolent intent,” he said, adding the foundation believed it was acting in accordance with the law.
