Despite health officials’ pleas, Peterborough council votes down permitting city staff to administer naloxone

As it currently stands, Peterborough city staff are not permitted to administer naloxone while on duty in case of a drug overdose. A proposed policy change sought to lift restrictions and stock the medicine in city facilities but was once again struck down by city council on Monday night.
