Transportation Minister Omar Alghabra spoke Monday about what could be considered one of the exceptions that would allow airlines to deny potential compensation due to a cancellation or delay under the proposed changes to the air passenger rights framework. He said a snowstorm was one example as it can have impacts on air traffic and are not something airlines are responsible for. However, he said the list of exceptions would be “narrow.”
