Young Edmonton researchers to expand study on ‘adultification bias’ forcing Black girls to grow up too fast

An Edmonton duo has won a national competition for its research on adultification bias. It’s the perception that Black girls are less innocent and more adult-like than their white peers. Stella Igweamaka shares examples and explains the consequences.
