Meet the new wave of Inuit artists
Description
April 1, 2023
In this country, art history has long been dominated by settlers. That western lens is how many of us have experienced Indigenous art. But that view is starting to change. Indigenous peoples in galleries and museums across Canada are leading decisions about art produced by the communities who’ve been on this land for millennia. As Dawna Friesen reports for The New Reality, the goal is to better support future generations of artists.
