Speaking to the Senate Finance Committee on Thursday, U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said the proposed budget put forward by the Biden administration builds on economic progress “by making smart, fiscally responsible investments.” Yellen added that fiscal discipline “remains a central priority” and that the investments would be paid for by corporations and the wealthy.
