The Surete du Quebec are investigating after what one provincial official is calling a “serious accident” in Amqui, Que., in the Gaspesie in the eastern part of the province involving a pickup truck and several pedestrians that left at least two people dead. Police have said it was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public. The two deaths are two men, one in his 60s and the other in his 70s. The driver of the pickup truck is being questioned by police.
