Global Winnipeg asked residents if they feel safe downtown after a two unrelated stabbing incidents on Friday evening sent three people to hospital. A majority of residents agree that they would rather avoid downtown. One resident said Portage Avenue “used to be the heart of the city but now it’s looking like the other end.”
