The BC River Forecast Centre is reporting ‘deeper than normal’ snowpacks in parts of the province, including the Okanagan, which means there is a higher risk of flooding. The manager of the Penticton dam has opened up its gates, to try and bring water levels down in Okanagan Lake as residents prepare for what could be a challenging spring runoff.
