Turbulence sends 7 to hospital, pilot says Lufthansa plane dropped 1,000 feet

Seven passengers were rushed to hospital after severe turbulence forced an emergency landing at Dulles International Airport, just outside of Washington, D.C. The flight, en-route from Austin, Texas, to Frankfurt, Germany, encountered significant turbulence over Tennessee, and the plane dropped 1,000 feet, the pilot said.
