Halifax budget committee votes to increase arts funding

It was a big win for local artists, after Halifax Regional Municipality’s budget committee voted in favour of increasing arts funding, instead of a 55 per cent proposed cut. As Megan King reports, the commitment to funding the arts from councillors means support for dozens of organizations.
